CLARKSVILLE, TN. The Office of Student Life & Engagement hosted the Student Engagement Expo on Wednesday, August 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event, held in the Morgan University Center Plaza, showcased just a few of the many student resources and organizations available at Austin Peay.

Tables were set up along walkways and beneath canopies in the center of the plaza. Music blared in the background as students bounced between tables and learned about the many ways they can get involved in campus life.

Each table was held by a different organization and was decorated to their liking. QR codes were displayed on each table for students to scan. Free APSU merch was also distributed at many of the tables.

The event featured student resources like the Newton Military Family Resource Center, which not only supports the unique needs of military-affiliated students but also the entire student body, and the Latino Community Center, which works to empower the Latino community and educate the wider student population.

Religious groups with campuses at APSU such as LifePoint Church and Reformed University Fellowship were present at this event as well, providing insight into their work and their goals on campus.

Academic departments were able to share about their programs. Among them was the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology along with the Department of Art and Design.

Greek life was also displayed by some of APSU’s fraternities and sororities, including Alpha Gamma Delta and Pi Kappa Alpha.

Furthermore, student clubs like the Pre-Veterinary Club and the Cybersecurity Club took the opportunity to promote their organization to attendees.

This expo was an opportunity for APSU students, both new and returning, to get involved in the community and explore their options on campus.
