Steph Curry is unarguably one of the best guards in the game, and will most likely go down as the best point guard in NBA history.

At the age of 27 years old, Steph Curry won his first NBA Finals and Finals MVP. His team, the Warriors, went 67-15 last year, and are at it again this year. The greatest team in NBA history undoubtedly goes to the 1995-96 Bulls after they went 72-10. Through 57 games, they lost six of them. Through the Warriors’ first 57 games, they’ve only lost five, and are close to clinching a playoff appearance. They’re 57 games in.

During the 2014-15 season, Curry earned his first NBA MVP, along with an NBA Finals win. But you already knew that. What you might not know is Steph Curry has hit a 3-pointer in 128 straight games, which is an NBA record. Or that Curry has four career games of 50+ points, 10 or more being 3-pointers while the rest of the NBA ever only has had three max.

Curry will most likely win this year’s NBA MVP, and will be one of 13 players who have won the award multiple times.

The year before Steph and the Warriors won their first NBA Finals in 40 years, they won 51 games with an overall record of 51-17. In 2015, Steph led the Warriors to 67-15, five games shy of the 72-10 season. This season, the Warriors have won more games through 57 games than they did in all of the 2013-14 season.

So, he may not be MJ yet but it’s clear that Curry could be on his way. It will be hard this year for any team to overcome Steph Curry and his team, especially if they end the season with a better record than the ’95-’96 Bulls.

But, I’m not going to compare apples to oranges. While MJ, Lebron and Kobe have all been the taller guys and forwards, Steph is a point guard (but not human, according to the self-proclaimed World’s Biggest Michael Jordan Fan). He’s your average guy, for the NBA anyways, standing at 6-foot-3, and can shoot from anywhere. Steph Curry is on his way to being the G.O.A.T. and the best point guard the NBA has ever seen.

Now let’s talk about off the court. Steph and his wife Ayesha and their two kids are life goals. We all remember Riley and her post-game performance. And to whoever that guy was that said kids shouldn’t be allowed in post-game shows afterwards, you can let yourself out. Steph and Ayesha post videos on Instagram fairly regularly of doing Dubsmash videos (my particular favorite was the Frozen one).

With the Kobe era ending and Lebron era being midway finished, Curry is only beginning his dynasty. He already has one more NBA MVP and one more ring than MJ did at the same age.

Curry is easily the best player in the NBA right now, and I don’t think his talent is going anywhere anytime soon.
