The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Montgomery County and most of Middle Tennessee on Monday, Aug. 12 due to heavy showers and thunderstorms expected in the area.

According to The Leaf Chronicle, flooding in Clarksville has already led to traffic detours for Franklin Street and University Boulevard.

The National Weather Service said the heavy precipitation could cause minor flooding in areas that are prone to flooding.

The Weather Channel website said the occasional thunderstorms are meant to end by 3:30 p.m. today.
