Armed robbery on College Street

An armed robbery occurred this evening, Tuesday, March 19 at 302 College St., according to an APSU campus safety bulletin.

The suspect is described as a white male between the age of 30-35 years, weighing approximately 200 pounds, standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall.

According to the TheGovSays safety bulletin, the suspect was seen wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and blue jeans. The black hoodie is described as having a white strip on the hood and white cuffs on the sleeves. The back of the hooding has embroidery. He was wearing a light colored t-shirt under the hoodie, white sneakers and sagging slim fit jeans.

The TheGovSays campus safety bulletin was sent to students, faculty and staff around 7:38 p.m., March 19, 2013.

The bulletin states “If you have information about this incident, please contact Clarksville Police by calling 911 or Austin Peay Campus Police office at 931-221-7786 or by email at apsupolice@apsu.edu. Information may also be reported anonymously online at www.apsu.edu/police/reporting.”

According to the campus safety bulletin, members of the APSU community are encouraged to exercise extra vigilance, acquaint themselves with the locations of emergency phones located throughout the campus and avail themselves of the escort service provided by APSU Campus Police.
