Dunlap has been charged with an additional count of aggravated robbery in connection with a second alleged robbery, according to the press release, that occurred on Wednesday, March 20, around 3:50 a.m. at 301 Providence Blvd. The warrant for this second charge will be served while Dunlap is in jail on the first charge, according to the CPD news release.

The release states Dunlap was on probation for theft of property and burglary when he was arrested in conjunction with these more recent incidents.

During the Tuesday, March 19, incident, “The suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the 38 year old male clerk. Once he received the money, he fled from the scene,” according to the CPD news release. When officers arrived on the scene, the release states, they combed the area with the aid of a K9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspect.

On Wednesday, March 20, a suspect matching a similar description “entered the store” at 301 Providence Blvd. and “made some inquiries to the 41 year old female clerk about the price of some items in the store and then acted as though he was going to make a purchase. The suspect, who was standing in front of the cash register, raised his shirt, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He was given the money and left the business on foot, but may have entered a vehicle,” according to the CPD news release.

The press release states that Dunlap became a prime suspect when he was identified in a photo lineup and was later located, interviewed, and arrested after “clothing matching the description of the College Street suspect and a BB gun was located by … detectives at a residence which Dunlap frequents.”
