Wizard World Comic Con

Wizard World Comic Con hits Nashville this weekend at Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn. The event is apart of North America’s largest pop-culture touring expo.

Guests stars including Danny Trejo, Candice Patton, Jewel Staite, John Schneider, Erik Estrada, Larry Wilcox, Jim Cummings and Adam Baldwin are among the hundreds of celebrities and industry professionals at the 2015 Wizard World Comic Con.

Thousands of fans will be on hand to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, comics, cosplay, video gaming, television, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Top artists scheduled to attend are Michael Golden, Howard Chaykin, Ken Kelly, Larry Elmore and more.

Amongst all of these celebrities and events, APSU’s very own Dr. Antonio Thompson and Dr. Amy Thompson will be taking part in the festivities Saturday, Sept. 26 at 5:30 p.m. in room 104CDE to hold a discussion board about their new book: But if a Zombie Apocalypse Did Occur: Essays on Medical, Military, Governmental, Ethical, Economic and Other Implications.

Other highlighting events include:

 

  • Interactive Q&As with Trejo (Saturday, 2:30 p.m.), Patton (Saturday, 12:30 p.m.), Cummings (Saturday, 4:30 p.m.), James Remar (Saturday, 4 p.m.), Drake Bell (Sunday, 1:30 p.m.) and others

 

  • Group Q&A sessions with John Schneider, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.) and Estrada and Wilcox (Sunday, 2:30 p.m.)

 

  • Step into the ring with WWE® Superstar Roman Reigns® (Friday, 8 p.m.) and WWE® Diva Eva Marie™ (Saturday, 2 p.m.)

 

  • Sessions featuring superstar creators Howard Chaykin (“American Flagg”; Friday, 5p.m.); Joe Casey (“Man of Action”), Sara Woolley (“Los Pirineos: The Mostly True memoirs of Esperancita Gomez”), Victor Dandridge (“Origins Unknown”) Roland Mann (“Planet of the Apes”) and Danny Fingeroth (Friday, 6 p.m.); Jacob Rougemont and Fingeroth (Saturday, 5 p.m.)

 

  • “Storytelling” with groundbreaking artist Michael Golden (Saturday, 1 p.m.)
