APSU’s men tennis dropped to 0-3 on the season after a 7-0 loss against Lipscomb on Jan. 25.

The day began with high hopes but fell short of gathering any points throughout the matches.

In doubles, the pairing of Timo Kiesslich and Jacob Lorino took the lead in their No. 2 doubles match but fell short, ultimately losing.

Hunter Sanders and Chad Woodham at No. 3 doubles also took the early lead.

The Bison won both matches and took the early doubles points.

The day did not get better for the Govs.

Kiesslich was the only player from APSU to win the first set of the singles match.

The Bison, however, dominated the rest of the matches, winning the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 matches.

Kiesslich competed in the super tiebreaker in the third set but came up short.

The Govs begin the season 0-3 for the third straight year.

The Govs have not won in the month of Jan. since 2014, where they beat Chattanooga 4-3.

APSU travels to Chattanooga to square off against on Saturday, Feb. 2.
