The APSU Lady Govs competed against Murray State on Tuesday, September 27. Letsgopeay.com reported that the Lady Govs fell in three sets (19-25, 16-25, 14-25).

In this match the APSU offense did not show their best performance with only 22 kills. The Lady Gov with the highest number of kills was junior Kaitlyn Teeter, who had eight.

Murray State took early leads in all three sets, and their offense charged their way to victory with 47 kills against APSU.

Murray State first pulled away from the Lady Govs after a seven-point run to construct a 20-11 lead. This continued in the in the second set when Murray State scored the first seven points of the frame.

The momentum Murray State built in the first two sets flowed into the third, and they composed a 16-6 lead that helped them take the match. For their next match, the Lady Govs will compete at Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
