The Govs task was simple, win or go home. Behind senior guard Caleb Brown’s career-high 28 points, the Govs advanced to the semifinals of the OVC
Tournament over No. 7 Southeast Missouri 76-60.
The Govs had not advanced to the OVC Tournament semifinals since the 2008-09 season.
With the victory, the Govs advance to face No. 2 Morehead State Friday
night at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium at 9 p.m. The game will be
broadcasted live on ESPNU.
“We did enough good things here to win and advance, that is the important

A scary moment occurred right before halftime. Tyshwan Edmondson was
fouled and fell awkwardly. He hit the floor grabbing his right knee.
But Edmondson was able to walk off into the locker room. He would
return coming out at halftime wearing a sleeve over his right knee.
“As long as I can play on it I will keep playing. I will have to tough
it through.” Edmondson said.
Brown’s 28 points came on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and 9-of-12 from the free throw line. Edmondson added 13 points while grabbing six rebounds.
Josh Terry scored 11 points. John Fraley added five points while grabbing nine rebounds and blocking seven shots.
“This will be a good game for us,” Brown said about playing Morehead State.
“They have a really good team, and it will be a challenge, and it won’t
be easy. I am ready though.”

Tyshwan Edmondson is back in the game with a knee sleeve on his right knee after leaving at the end of the first half with a knee injury.
The Govs lead SEMO 41-32 at halftime. The Govs close out the first half on a 27-12 run. Senior guard Caleb Brown leads the way for the Govs with 14 points on four-of-five from the field and five-of-seven from the free throw line. Josh Terry has nine points on two-of-six shooting and five-of-five from the line. Tyshwan Edmondson has seven points on three-of-six shooting, while Will Triggs has five points and four boards. John Fraley has two points four blocks and three boards.
The Govs are shooting 13-of-30 (43.3 percent) from the field and 12-of-15 (80.0 percent) from the free throw line.
The Govs Edmondson fell to the floor on a foul grabbing his right knee. After laying getting checked out by the trainers he was able to walk back to the bench and locker room without help.
Anthony Allison leads SEMO with 13 points on three-of-five shooting and going a perfect five-of-five from the free throw line. SEMO is shooting 10-of-27 (37.0 percent) from the field.
