Junior Lady Govs soccer forward Kirstin Robertson was named the adidas® OVC Player of the Week for the third time this season.

This feat was only duplicated once, by teammate McKenzie Dixon in 2015.

Robertson added to her offensive resume over a two-game road weekend with two goals and two assists against UT Martin and SEMO.

“She continues to develop confidence in her game and the team is really rallying behind her, which is a great testament to where our team is at,” Head Coach Kelley Guth said. “We have a lot of players who are determined to do whatever it takes to win, and Kirstin is a player who shares that mindset. We’ve been very fortunate for her to play the way she has been playing this season. It’s been a great run so far.”

Robertson currently has 10 goals on the season, five of which are game winning goals. She is tied third nationally for deciding goals, and ranked sixth for overall goals on the season.

Robertson’s success on the season adds attributes to an APSU team that is undefeated in conference play that are becoming quickly noticeable. With seven regular season games and the OVC tournament left, APSU and Robertson have more opportunists to add to their resume.

The Lady Govs are back in action in Clarksville at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field against Eastern Kentucky on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
