APSU President Tim Hall recently announced his coming departure from APSU for the position of president at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York.

President Hall has officially announced that he will be leaving APSU at the end of the spring semester to fill another university president position at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York.

In a campus-wide e-mail, Hall implied how sad he is to be leaving APSU.

“We could have been happy at [APSU] for many more years,” Hall said. “Yet, I doubted whether I could do the job the university deserves across that long a period.” Hall has served as university president for almost seven years.

“We will be working with an institution much like APSU and hoping to apply some of the things we learned here,” Hall said in the e-mail.

According to APSU News, the Tennessee Board of Regents hopes to have a new APSU president selected by July 1, 2014.
