The Lady Bisons effectively shut down the Lady Govs this past week in a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 13 at Cheryl Holt Field.

The Lady Govs fought valiantly in the first game, a power struggle in which the lead went back and forth. The Lady Govs were up 6-4 in the top of the seventh inning, but then the game fell apart. Lipscomb’s Brit Elmore and Bridg Begle hit back-to-back singles and later scored on a fielding error by the Lady Govs, tying the game. Lipscomb went on to score two more runs, making the score 8-6 by the end of the inning, and wound up winning the game.

In game two of the doubleheader, the Lipscomb’s bullpen pitched well and kept the Lady Govs from scoring as they defeated APSU again, this time by a score of 15-0.
