CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Keon Williams ran for three touchdowns and Chattanooga cruised past Austin Peay 42-10 on Saturday night.

Williams finished with 106 yards rushing on 11 carries with the team totaling 270, just shy of the 271.5 average, sixth-best in the FCS, that the Mocs carried into the game

The Mocs (2-1) rolled up 322 yards offense in the first half on their way to a 35-7 lead.

The Governors scored their first touchdown of the season when Tim Phillips ran 8 yards with 1:41 left in the first quarter to get within 14-7. But the Mocs scored three times in the second quarter, including Gunner Miller’s 20-yard interception return with 24 seconds left in the half. That play came just after the Governors had intercepted a pass.

This was the first meeting between the teams since 1968.

Austin Peay (0-3) has lost 19 straight road games.
