Sync for Smiles Lip Sync Battle is an annual event staged by Alpha Delta Pi at APSU to raise money for Camp Rainbow.

The Lip Sync battle consisted of seven different organizations that competed in song and dance for first place.

“Camp Rainbow is an organization that allows ill children to enjoy camp. These kids get to fish, canoe, make crafts and climb on helicopters flown in from Ft. Campbell for one week in June, an experience they would not otherwise get to have” ADPi president Sarah Beth Gross.

ADPi raised $5,000 for the organization.

”We are one of the only organizations on campus to adopt 2 philanthropies, so we are very excited to see the community and other organizations at APSU support us. This event is always so much fun and we love getting everyone involved and educating them on the purpose of the camp. It is so heart-warming to know we are able to help in changing these kids lives and giving them a chance to enjoy their summer,” she said.

The Sync for Smiles Lip Sync is an event specific to ADPi. The organization wanted to involve others in a fun fundraising event and they are very proud of how large it has become. The event has taken place at APSU for three years, and is projected to continue for many more to come.
