At 11:49 p.m. on Friday, May 14, The All State received notification that Nathan Vossler has been released from custody. Vossler was arrested on Oct. 3, 2009 on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping after allegedly confining a six year-old girl in his residence at the Emerald Hill apartment complex.
Nathan’s wife Mary, a former French major, has been charged with aggravated arson and vandalism with damages in excess of $10,000 to their Emerald Hills apartment on Oct. 10, 2009. She was released on Tuesday, May 18, according to an e-mail received by The All State at 6:28 p.m.
The settlement date, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 11, was originally postponed until June 10. Continue to visit www.theallstate.org for more updates.

I am so happy they are out. I still believe they are not guilty and have had their life ruined. I work on campus and see the parties involved and it is just a big mess and a bunch of crap.

Sounds to me like some people should learn the law before they start trying to have an opinion. If the police did not have proper evidence to arrest them; THEN THEY WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THEM INTO CUSTODY!
I just want everyone to know, that when both of them are convicted of their B.S., that I will laugh in everyone’s face who thought they were innocent. Just as a side note: I do realize that you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. But with that, you must also realize that when the evidence points to you and you alone, people should really open their eyes to the strong “maybe” that is therefore present.
People could have died in that fire, so I don’t understand why anyone would feel bad for her. And for anyone who has read Mr. Vossler’s police report, you are out of your mind in you think this is a “good” person by any standard!

Well lets see I was arrested once and was incessant so yes innocent people get arrested all the time. As for how could anyone believe they are innocent after reading the police report, well they could know then personally and not form five or six sentences on a piece e of paper. The report leaves a lot out. As for people could have died in the fire at5 what temperature does cinderblock burn. And no one talks about how her front door was open when the fire started and the computer was siting just inside of it. I mean who would say oh, start a fire in her house when her husband was accused of something like kidnaping a child.

I dont believe that this article is correct. I am just wondering why all other news reports are saying ONLY Nathan Vossler was released on bond.. No other news report that I found says that both were released. They came out at the same time that this story came out, but only state that Nathan Vossler was relesed on bond, not Mary vossler also.

I lived in Emerald Hills on APSU campus for a few months- there were children everywhere not being watched while there parents were in class or “busy”. I knew more kids than I did adults. They were starving for attention, so sad. I don’t personally know the couple in question but the mother should have been watching her child. I’m so lucky I never let children into my apartment (although asked many times) or it would be me on the news. I had a parent show up at my door because I had given a child one of my chips when I was doing laundry- her child was in the laundry room with me for over an hour and was hungry. The Vosslers lived there when I did, I saw them at different events and they seemed normal- very involved on campus. I wouldn’t want to believe that he did that although his wife burning the laptop makes him look guilty, but kidnapping, give me a break, her mother was probably mad that she was gone so long and her kid made up the story. Also, he changed his appearance? he was in jail, everyone who goes to jail comes out with a different hair cut, give me a break. There are quite a few trashy people living in Emerald Hills for the “benefits” as well as thugs from the projects showing up to “visit”. I had to get out of there.

Dickson woman charged in Clarksville child porn case
APSU officers find 107 images

Austin Peay police say they’ve found more than 100 images of child pornography — some involving infants — in the possession of a Dickson woman.
Mary A. Vossler, 29, was served a new 108-count indictment alleging she collected the images between December 2007 and October 2009.
The graphic titles suggest the images show children — boys and girls, newborns to 10-year-olds — engaging in sex acts with other children and adults. Some titles suggest rape and incest.
Most of the images involve children ages 4 to 8.
A second person was charged but has not been served a warrant, so the indictment remained sealed.
Vossler is charged with 107 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, aggravated arson and vandalism. She is in Montgomery County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Ted Denny said officials at the warrants division — Marcy Oliver and Don Newlove — tracked Vossler down in Dickson. She was arrested Thursday by officers from the U.S. Marshall’s Office and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest stems from events that began in October 2009 when Vossler’s husband, Nathan, was accused of kidnapping a 6-year-old girl at their then-Patrick Street apartment.
As previously reported in The Leaf-Chronicle, police say Nathan V. Vossler, 33, forced the girl into his apartment, locked the door and took off her jacket and shoes. He later released her unharmed.
A few days later, Mary Vossler set their computer on fire, police said.
APSU Officer Richard Wacker is lead investigator in the case. Police Chief Lantz Biles couldn’t discuss whether the images were found on the damaged computer but said the aggravated arson charge stemmed from the computer incident.
Biles said the word “images” in the indictment could refer to video or pictures.
Mary Vossler was previously indicted in December 2009 on the arson and vandalism charges. Her next court date is Jan. 24. Art Bieber, assistant district attorney, is prosecuting the case. Vossler’s attorney was listed as Jacob Mathies.

I would like nothing more than to see these folks where they should be: prison for the foreseeable future. And for all those people who feel that they know these two people and want for everyone to feel sorry for them because of the remote fact that they are “innocent”. The truth is that people like them are great at putting on a front to disarm adults. These 2 are stone cold predator and I’m glad that they are all over the local news so everyone knows what they’ve done.

And as for the images I am wondering if they were found on the Laptop that was found in the computer recycling center on campus ( a Center that dose not exist). A that was was said to belong to the Vosslers and was thrown out ( even though we are to believe that they burn evidence in their living room not throw it out. As far as I have been able to find out the burned hard drive has been sent to more than a few experts and when each says they can’t find anything it is just sent to another at the expense of the county.
